Venetian Belladonna
Eau de Parfum
A shapeshifting chimera, burning with desire.
Description
Belladonna is a sweet smelling poison with a rich tradition as a poison flower going back to ancient times when Livia used it to poison the Roman Emperor Augustus. Literally translating to ‘beautiful woman’, medieval Italian witches would put belladonna droplets into their eyes to dilate their pupils as they believed this made them appear more attractive; this would also cause hallucinations, or in Wiccan terms, a “flying spell”. It is often equated with aggressive female sexuality and was used by Northern Italian witches (streghe) to place seduction spells on men. Our Venetian Belladonna starts her muti-faceted seduction with a dewy green opening, to ambery, honeyed beeswax, on to drunken tuberose, and down to a sueded musk, all while burning you with her hellfire, thanks to the accord styrax pyrogene.
